  • Read the lines
  • Read your lines alone
  • Practice your dialogues in your style
  • Write it out or use voice memos to memorize
  • Do it with action

Let's see all the steps one by one

1. Read the whole script

First step is to read the full script top to bottom. Location, stage actions, dialogues, character movement etc all the things in the script you need to read fully without leaving a line. By reading fully you get a clear idea and clear picture about that story. You can easily judge and imagine what is going to happen in the scene. Read the script like a third man perspective (audience). You can understand the situations and scenes easily.

2. Read the lines

Second step is, in the full script read all the dialogues only. Read dialogues for all character or a group. Go through all the lines of dialogues. By doing this you can understand what this scene is going to say, what is the purpose of the conversation and how they conveying. These things will get into your mind deeply and give a clear vision about the scenes and dialogues.

3. Read your lines alone

Now read only your characters dialogues. Highlight your dialogues alone and read it fully. Read it again and again for your comfortable and you will understand the purpose of the dialogues.

Already you read full script, then you read all dialogues and then by reading your dialogues alone can get a clear vision about story.

4. Practice your dialogue in your style

Fourth step practice your dialogue by yourself in your own style. Because each dialogues are written by director or any other field person. They write in their perspective like emotion, body language and situations. So practicing your dialogues in your style, body language, rythym and timing etc can make good impact in your film. By doing these four steps you can practice the dialogues easily. Some will memorize here itself.

5. Write it out or use voice memos to memorize

Don't think me that i am treating you like a school kid. Anything when you write, it will get into your mind deeply so that's why school teachers always say to write it out as an assignment. If you don't like to write. Okay. No problem! Just turn on your voice recorder and read your dialogue by seeing. If you have any free time or before you sleep you can hear it with your headset. This gives more chance to memorize your dialogues easily.

6. Do it with action

Sixth step is your dialogues with that scene action. Many times there is no need for any action but sometimes you need to perform with some action.
FOR EXAMPLE :- speaking with doing a work, speaking while you are cycling, speaking while you are cooking etc. So here you need to practice to sync your dialogues with your action. When you are pausing and playing also important.
